Yamaha MT 15, another bike from Yamaha launch in Indian Market. Yamaha launched its 150cc naked street fighter bike in India. In the Indian vehicle market street fighter bikes are booming and are most loveable bikes for youngsters. Who loves to racing, fast riding with long drive. Yamaha launches its new bike on the basis R15 v3.0 and inspired in the global MT series. MT series bike Yamaha MT 15 is most suitable and will be best for youngsters from the college students.

Bike has launched on 15 March 2019, and this will give tough fight to Honda Hornet, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, KTM Duke 125, and TVS Apache RTR 200 4v both in the price segment and also in the performance of engine. Yamaha’s street lifestyle motorcycle starts from FZ and Fazer and now MT-15 is the first model ‘Call of the Blue’ program of Yamaha.

Engine & Transmission

Yamaha MT 15 comes in lightweight, 155 cc street engine with unique design lines. It has a liquid cool SOHC engine with VVA (Variable Value Actuation). The engine generates 19.3 BHP at 10,000 RPM and 14.8 NM at 8500 RPM of Peak torque. It comes mated 6 speed gear box and premium equipments like LED Headlight, Sleeper Clutch, and fully digital instrument console.

The bike weight is just 138 kg and claims top speed around 138 KMPH.

Braking & Safety

The bike comes with front and rear disc brake with single channel ABS. Which monitors safety of the riders. This feature of MT-15 bike makes more powerful than other bikes like TVS Aapache RTR 200, KTM Duke 200, and many more. As per the Indian roads this bike has the ABS system which best for rider safety.

Performance & Handling

The Suspension of this bike is well handled by wholly adjustable front forks which are upside-down. And a preload adjustable monoshock present at the rear end.


The bike gets fuel tank capacity of 10 liters. With this the mileage of this bike is figure out of 50kmpl is expected. The top speed of this bike is achieved 119km/hr.


The price of this bike is very low and budgeted as compare to other 150 cc street bikes in the Indian market. The Price of this bike is 1.39 lakh to 1.41 lakh of fully faired version.
