Rating in India
3.94 out of 5
Design & Performance- TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is the most emerging bike in the Indian market. Where the TVS has gives great look to bike as sportier than his regular apache bike series. The got sharp headlamps with LED pilot lamps and also having devil horns. The bike is new racing sporty design which makes an eye catchy than the standard models of TVS apache. The fuel tank is similar like rtr 160 4v bike and the tank has off-set cap.
The backside of the bike includes a LED headlamp alongside split back body snatch rails. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is the pure looker bike from all side. But that fly-screen up front appear as a compromise for those who want a pure street fighter bike.
Engine & Suspension- The bike TVS apache RTR 200 4v comes in both carburetor and fuel injected. The bike also comes in ABS model in the top end variant. The engine has a profound throaty note particularly wicked good in the rev range and all because of the double barrel exhaust. This one is no uncertainty the best sounding bike in the sub Rs 1 lakh bike section. The engine has an OK low and mid-extend because of which the bicycle offers a fast speeding up and every day drives in the city feel like a breeze.
The Bike has a front suspension with 37mm telescopic fork and the rear suspension with monotube-monoshock. The suspension setting is on a gentler side and the bicycle handles decidedly around corners. The bike has a praiseworthy straight-line dependability and feels formed even at triple-digit speeds.
Mileage- When the bike comes in fuel efficiency point, the bike restored a consolidated figure of near 43 kmpl that included right around 60 percent city and 40 percent roadway riding.
Bike Con’s- The 5-speed gearbox could have been moved up to a further developed 6-speed unit.
The motor is still air+oil cooled like the Pulsar 220F. It would have been exceptional if TVS offered an appropriate fluid cooled motor like Pulsar NS200.
Competitors- The Bike comes in 200cc segment and has a competition in 200cc bikes which are available in Indian market are:
- Suzuki Gixxer SF
- Bajaj Pulsar 220
